Hello, 144.124.16.28

THIS ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS: READ IT!

We see that you have had an interest on AberWiki, to survive on AberWiki make sure that you read the following notice so you don't end up like these people. You probably fit into one of these categories:

1. The MySpac:
DO NOT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY. You may actually be a pretty cool guy and is worthy of making pages. HOWEVER, most all of the MySpac pages have uninteresting pages consisting of people who are regulars of #aber don't know or give a fuck about. You (and your friends who may also have been labelled MySpacs), can redeem yourself by reading "What Can I do?" below.

2. The First Year CompSci that wants to be cool in adding how shit is: You found this place by accident or someone said that this place was a cool place to go to on a drunken CompSoc night. Congratulations! You have found one of the coolest place to be... but before you add something please read on to find out how this place works.

WHAT CAN I DO???

Naturally since you found out that this is a website that has a lot of stuff from CompSci students NATURALLY you want to start adding stuff and keep it up to date. Thing is before you should do this you should STOP cause things doesn't work that way quite. To be a proper OFFICIAL AberWiki contributor, here are a few guidelines:

1. Get on IRC: All of the main contributors are part of a group called #aber which is an IRC channel where some of current and ex-aber CompSci Students hang about. You can find out more by seeing IRC and AberFreeNet. By joining in this way you get to meet some pretty cool people and, at the same time, make yourself worthy of adding content to the site

2. Do not make boring pages: Do we give a fuck who is the most boring Second Year? Not really. You must have mistaken us for some "WEB 2.0" site.

3. Do not deface: If I see any defacing then you are banned for a few days. Longer if you continue to deface. (Defacing means removing everything and replacing with some text saying "CUNT" or some immature shit like that.

4. If there is a page that you dislike and want to change it. Instead of defacing you can report to a Wiki admin Aimaz, Hypno or Afal and ask for the offending page to get changed. Remember that you shouldn't take everything on the site too seriously, This is the internet after all :)

Well that's it. We hope that you have a pleasant stay at AberWiki, AND REMEMBER the only way to get rid of your "MySpac" status is to read the following above!
Have a nice day!
