Orakio's working out:
Mine is probably the same as anyone elses. Hit any switch for a few minutes or even thirty seconds is usually enough. Turn it off again. Then turn on another switch and leave it on. Go into to the room quickly. One lightbulb is on so touch one of the ones that is off. You know which switch goes to the one that is on. If the bulb that was off that you touched is cool it's not the one your turned on for a short while first. If it's warm or hopefully hot then it is. ELord's punishments are designed to burn your fingers so you can't use the computer.

Although the first one requests any other ideas for working it out I feel that the second one has for more scope for having different ways of working it out.

Can't quite remember if this is exactly how I did it but anyway.
The first thing is that the Norgwegian must live in the Yellow house. Why is this? He can't live in the blue house because he lives next to that and is the first house. He can't live in the Red house because the Brit lives in it. He can't live in the Green or White house because they are next to each other and we already know that the Norwegian is only next to one house. We now know that the Norwegian lives in a Yellow house and smokes Dunhill. We also know that the person who smokes blend lives in the second house which is blue and owns a horse.
The next thing we know is that the owner of the blue house drinks Tea and is Danish. This is because he can't drink water as the person to the left of him does. He doesn't drink milk because the person to the right does. He doesn't drink beer because he smokes Blend not blue master. He doesn't drink coffee because he lives in a blue house not green.
We also know that the British person lives in the middle and drinks milk. This is because the only other possibility is that the green is in the middle. However green drinks coffee and the middle drinks milk. We can assume that whoever lives in the white house drinks beer.
There maybe a bit too much information there but anyway. We now know the German has it. He can't have a cat because he is in the last two houses and only the middle or first can have a cat. He can't have a horse as the Dane has the horse. He can't have a bird because he smokes prince not Pall Mall. He can't have a dog because the Swede has it.
